Become A Trustee

We have over 650 volunteer trustees across the Groundwork federation, who all have found trusteeship to be a great way to take an active role in their community.   As a respected and responsible role, it is also an excellent way to develop new skills and gain experience.

Because every Groundwork Trust is an independent charity, each has its own board of trustees.  Our strategic leadership is improved when trustees are recruited from a diverse range of backgrounds, and our boards need people like you to bring new insights, vision and support to the way we make an impact on people’s lives.

To help us to work effectively across the region we also have 2 Local Area Boards, one for Devon and Cornwall, and the other for the West of England. As our work develops, we anticipate having further Local Area Boards to cover the remaining areas of the region.

If you would like more information on the role and responsibilities of becoming a Trustee for Groundwork South West, please speak to our HR Officer, Sue Lumsden on ext. 312 or sue.lumsden@groundwork.org.uk
